Theatre Intangible has the exclusive honor of recording an episode of our podcast LIVE at Podcamp Nashville 2010.    I call the honor exclusive because we are the only podcast that will be live-taping at the conference (but just because we were the only ones to think of it before the sign-up time ran out).   If you’re not familiar with it, Podcamp Nashville is an un-conference devoted to podcasting and social media, with sessions generated entirely by its own audience.  I attended last year’s Barcamp (also put on by Marcus Whitney and Dave Delaney), and I had an incredible time.  If you’re only even mildly-interested in podcasting, blogging, and social media, you really NEED to be there.  It’s free to attend; and you get lots of swag, including drink tickets and t-shirts.  All you need to do is register to attend.  And be sure to sign up for our session.  I guarantee it will be like nothing else at the conference.  It all happens Saturday, March 6th at the Cadillac Ranch in downtown Nashville.  (Ignore the hair-band-vibe the venue emits; it’s actually the PERFECT place for such a conference.)

So what will we be doing exactly?  As mentioned on our Podcamp Nashville session page:

Be a part of a live podcast taping. Four musicians will create improvised music based on the theme of “instant feedback.” Audience members can participate in the improv by posting a Twitter message with our session hashtag pcn10ore. These Twitter messages will then be read by a vocal synthesizing program and mixed live into the show.

This session will be a unique opportunity to witness how a live-music podcast is recorded. A short Q&A will take place after the show.

That’s right, whether you’re at home or in the audience, you can be on the show simply by tweeting a message with the hashtag #pcn10ore.  We’re giving all the control to you!  We’re also looking into other ideas that incorporate audience participation and instant feedback.  We’d love to hear your thoughts.  Send them to us at tony@theatreintangible.com or just post a comment below.

Want to appear as a musical participant on the show?  Send me a note to the above e-mail on why you would make a good contributor.  See you March 6th, and don’t forget to register!
