Scratch that post a few days back where I said I needed to be in three places at once.  Make that four.  Dave X, my former ~ORE~ co-host and current host of the experimental radio shows Sounds Like Radio and It’s Too Damn Early, wanted me to attend his Second Annual Southern Illinois Noise Summit today.  I wanted to be there too, but I had already committed myself.  Here’s the report he e-mailed to me:

There were some really good sets today. Emma’s (Dave’s daughter) was really terrific, as was a one-off duet some folks did with a bunch of wind instruments and crazy amplification. I was really happy with my set as well. Oh, and we had someone inflicting damage on a blender and power tools. So yes, Southern Illinois can produce 5 hours of noise AND a decent audience, YAY!

Theatre Intangible participant Anthony Herndon was there for the festivities.  For photos and more info, check out the Startling Moniker story.
