Tonight at Open Lot, former Nashville band Ancient Ocean (New York City) return to town for a night of improv goodness. Also on the bill is the amazing Kansas City experimental improv band Expo 70. Aquarius Records calls their music, “the work of some immortal group of dronelords, sitting in their multidimensional fortress, atop some mysterious lost mountain, who in their infinite wisdom, allow their dreamlike drones and angelic ambience to fall from the sky and settle over us like a light dusting of snow…”
John Bohannon from Ancient Ocean and Justin Wright from Expo 70 came into the Theatre Intangible studios last night for the loudest podcast we’ve ever recorded. It’s a good one! Look for it tomorrow night. John B. participated in the Theatre Intangible improvs The Sound of Teeth and Valley Mountain Plateau.
