If you’re not coming over to my house for a patio/board-game party tomorrow night, then you need to be at Exit/In for the Bat Poet Benefit, featuring De Novo Dahl, The Mattoid, Majestico, Fly Golden Eagle, Shroeder’s Revenge, The ladies of Music City Burlesque (including T.I. participant Melodysaur aka The Violet Vixxxen), and T.I. participant Chris Murray of Square People handling the between-band-bizarro-disc-jockeying. Rumor has it the Bat Poet will even emerge from the cave and make an appearance. If I hadn’t already schedule my patio party, I would be there. In my absence, you must represent (and let me know how great it was).
If you don’t know the Bat Poet, he is the host Community Access TV-Channel 19 indescribably bizarre variety show The Bat Poet Show. Proceeds will go to help with Bat Poet alter ego Joey Bowker’s health problems. A very surreal Saturday night indeed.
The shindig starts at 8pm. Cover is $10.
