Circuit Benders’ Ball alumn Datathrash Arnie is starting a semi-regular electronic music showcase called Live Computer Sex! The first edition happens tonight at the Springwater and features Arnie’s band Abandoned on Fire, fellow CBB alumn Sugar Sk*-*lls, Hypnogram, and Zyvoxx2, the new project of CBB alumn Tim Carey.

HORSEHAIR EVERYWHERE
A few Theatre Intangible alums just released new albums. Horsehair Everywhere re-edited and remastered their 2011 Theatre Intangible improv Cuatro Ninos and just released it as side A of their new tape “When Eyes Walk.” Pick up a limited-edition copy at Goldtimers Tapes.

Ben Marcantel’s 8-bit / Gameboy project sugar sk*-*lls just released a pretty smokin’ new album called “intermission.” It’s free to download for a limited time on his Bandcamp page. Get it for free while you still can! NO KINGS Records is a vital part of the local lo-fi and noise scenes. Sunday night, check out an intimate show at No Kings founder Stephen Molyneux’s place, featuring a roster of the label’s many talents: Ben Marcantel’s chip-tuned SUGAR SK*-*LLS, Ryan Norris’ ambient melodia COUPLER, STEPHEN MOLYNEUX himself, and Derek Schartung’s cardboard noise machine MALOCCHIO. Nearly all have appeared on Theatre Intangible at one point or another, most recently Stepehen in Episode 73: Cuatro Ninos starring HORSEHAIR EVERYWHERE.

The show on Sunday is FREE and starts at 8:3opm, on-schedule so Stephen tells me.

Ensconced in their respective solo monikers, Theatre Intangible participants BEN MARCANTEL (Sugar Sk*-*lls) and SCOTT MARTIN (Hobbledeions) are releasing their new split tape Secret Fugue Machine (out on No Kings Records) and performing an in-store live at Grimeys Records, Saturday, May 28th at 5pm. The pair have their hands in some of the most exciting projects in town, including FORREST BRIDE, LYLAS, LAMBCHOP, and CORTNEY TIDWELL. Come to the in-store to see the wild and dark places Ben and Scott’s imaginations run when unrestrained by bandmate machinations. Get a free digital copy of Ben’s side here and Scott’s side here.

As if that’s not enough, Nashville’s Dead’s favorite band JACUZZI BOYS have been added to the bill!
